By the fall of 2023, Bill found he had been working on A Seldith Christmas for over six years. Fate and COVID threw up a few extra hurdles, but he’s proud to announce that this title will arrive in mid-October 2023. Yes, it’s another young-adult title targeted at readers of all ages–even those in middle-grades.
For those of you not familiar with the Seldith, fear not, A Seldith Christmas is meant to be a standalone book, and while it reawakens several characters from The Seldith Chronicles, you won’t be left without a lexicon of Seldith pronouns.
So, what’s the story about? We begin with a mystery, a family’s desperate, last-minute escape, and a long sea voyage. The story continues in a modest clock shop run by an old man whose skill at clockmaking has few peers. His granddaughter Trudi takes up his trade and eventually takes over running the shop even creating her own inventions. When fortune takes its turn, Trudi finds herself alone, an orphan, facing demanding creditors, and customers. To make matters worse, her grandfather, never revealed the secret behind his marvelous, nay magical timepieces.

All of Bill’s young-adult titles are written to incorporate vocabulary and more advanced language drawn from teachers’ standardized-English vocabulary guides. It has been used in classrooms around the country to help teach character development and encourage young readers.
